Trail of lights, Botanical Gardens

If you’re old enough to remember going to Medwood Gardens to see the Nativity scene then “Trail of Lights” at the Botanical Gardens will bring back memories.

The park is lit up with lights. There are people dressed in character, so the little ones and the young at heart, can take photos with fairies, Cinderella in her pumpkin carriage and the usual Disney characters.trail of lights
Though the entrance fee is R40 per person online and R50 at the gate. You’ll still need to pay an additional R20 for parking and carry cash as well.
There are food stalls so you can buy a meal and have a picnic. However, buy your meal first before walking around. On the first night, the food vendors were sold out quickly. They probably underestimated the turnout.

There’s pony rides, photos with Santa and a few other activities for the little ones.

It’s worth the money, weather permitting.
