Durban Ice Arena

Durban Ice RinkThe Durban Ice Arena is probably the coolest place in Durban, pun intended. Whether you’re trying to beat the heat or just have some fun, going for a session is sure to be a blast and full of laughter. Ideally you’ll want to plan your trip here since they are open at specific times. Parking is available for R20 per session.

I’m sure most Durbanites would remember the old Ice Rink being a bit worn down but if you haven’t been there in a while, you’ll be quite impressed with the new look.

A brilliant addition are the seals that can be hired. No not actual seals, it’s like a plastic sled that’s shaped like a seal. It’s great for families with younger kids, age four and up. It’s also used by people that would prefer not to fall, Durban Ice Rnkfrom what I’ve seen, this tactic doesn’t always work.

Want to distract your family so you can watch the game? Bring them here, they’ll be entertained and you’ll be able to watch the game on a big screen.

Expect to be a bit sore after your session, that’s all part of the fun.
