The idea of an indoor trampoline park can seem kinda lame. How different could it possibly be? Bounce has taken the concept to another level.

It’s a blast for the kids and an absolute workout for the participating adults as well. Keep in mind that Durban is blessed with good weather but it can often be too humid for outdoor activities. This makes Bounce an ideal activity for the kids.

The place is huge and the staff are friendly and fun-loving. There are different sections such as the standard trampolines, trampolines for more seasoned bouncers, a dodgeball area, a zip line, and a ninja warrior style obstacle course.

There’s a Cafe for light meals and a platform to keep an eye on the kids while you have a bite. My favorite part though, there are plug points everywhere so you can take your laptop or charge your phone while you’re there. So whether you have work to do or you would just like to get in a few episodes of your favorite show, Bounce can keep the kids occupied.

What I found particularly interesting is that people are using bounce like a gym. The activities are remarkably exhausting, it’s definitely a workout. You can even fill up your water bottle during your sessions.

The Annual Package

Taking it a step further, Bounce in Cornubia Mall offers an annual package that is currently around R899. Think of it this way, it’s cheaper than most gym memberships.

More importantly, every time the kids are feeling cooped up and you just need to expel their youthful energy for the sake of your sanity, you can take them. With the annual package. You are allowed a maximum of 4 hours per day, split into 2-hour sessions with a break in between. Honestly, I’ll be surprised if your child can do 4 hours. My daughter clocks out at 1 hour, 45mins.

Let me tell you something, a child that went to bounce does not have trouble dozing off and they have the most blissful, deep sleep. It’s wonderful.

The regular price per session is R110-R160 so it’s obvious that this is well worth the price.

Although as a party venue for your child’s birthday, the price is a bit steep in my opinion. Nonetheless, check it out and decide for yourself.

All in all, Bounce is a well-executed concept and a fun activity for the whole family.
